Couples only resorts create a romantic ambiance, not so much by what they include, but by what they don't include. You don't have to worry about twin beds, nurses conventions, fraternity parties, a singles scene at the bar, candlelit dinners with babies crying and other items that are common at a regular all inclusive Caribbean resort. We highly recommend you chose a couples only resort for your Jamaica Honeymoon.

 

If you want a large resort, our first recommendation would be the couples only Sandals Grande Ocho Rios with 110 acres, 529 rooms, 11 restaurants, 10 bars and full exchange privileges with nearby Sandals Dunn's River including free shuttles between. The Riu Montego Bay and the Riu Ocho Rios are also large and nice.

 

If you're looking for a small intimate luxury property, Royal Plantation is your best choice. The resort has only 74 suites all with ocean view and the food and service is incredible.

 

If you're looking for a property off the beaten path, you should definitely look at Sandals Whitehouse, which sits on 50 acres on the unspoiled southwest coast of Jamaica. The resort is also surrounded by a 500 acre nature preserve.

 

If you're a spa lover, you won't be disappointed in Jamaica. Most of the resorts above have full service spas. Couples Sans Souci has a seperate mineral pool and ocean edge treatment gazebos that attract guests from all across the globe.

 

If you are looking to golf on your honeymoon in Jamaica, we first recommend Sandals Grande Ocho Rios, which is closest to Sandals Golf & Country Club. Sandals Dunn's River is just about 10 minutes further away and also has a pitch and putt course on property. Golf greens fees and transfers are included at both of these resorts. Cart rentals, club rentals and caddies are extra. Caddies are mandatory. If you're looking for World Championship golf courses, 3 resorts in Montego Bay have 3 of the nicest golf courses in the Caribbean. The 3 resorts are Half Moon, the Ritz and Rose Hall Beach Resort, which is now a Hilton. Beware, the basic all inclusive package at all 3 of these resorts does not include golf.
