I loved this resort. My stay at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall completed my triple stay. I have now stayed at all three. It is a tough job, but someone has to check out these places and make sure they are all that they claim to be. This resort is all that it claims to be and is perfect for all inclusive honeymoons!

First, let me compare to the other Iberostar Grand Resorts. Iberostar Grand Paraiso is still my favorite, mostly because of the golf course on property, which might not mean anything to you. I also loved the river pool and the wave pool at Iberostar Paraiso Maya and Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. I put the Rose Hall in the middle. Iberostar Grand Bavaro is probably my least favorite of the 3, because i thought the food and service was just behind the other 2 (just a little bit). I did love having the casino in Punta at night. All 3 have great beaches and great rooms even at the entry level.

Now, let’s compare this resort to others in Jamaica. Iberostar Grand Rose Hall is the most luxurious resort in Jamaica. The only resort that would come close is Sandals Royal Plantation, which is small and intimate with old world luxury and charm. This Iberostar Resort is much bigger and very modern. The lobby is GRAND! Every category comes with butler service. The rooms are large with huge balconies. The dining is as good as it gets. You get 24 hour room service. We ordered the breakfast twice as our wake up call and that made me wish i had a butler at home. Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice Awards for 2014 named this resort as the #11 all inclusive resort in the world.

Stay at this resort and you can also play at the other 2. We spent very little time at the other 2. I noticed as you walk down the beach, you see more and more people and the volume of activity is much louder. So, if you think the luxury adults only all inclusive scene may bore you at times, just walk down the beach to the other two.

Tipping is allowed here and not prohibited. This is different from the policy at Sandals Resorts and Couples Resorts and I have mixed feelings. On one hand the no tipping makes it so easy and you never have to have money on your person. On the other hand, i remembered to take a few dollars to the beach one day and i might as well have had my own beach butler. I really don’t mind spending a few extra dollars and getting phenomenal service.

I would highly recommend this resort for a Jamaica honeymoon, a special anniversary and short romantic getaway trips. Jamaica is easy to get to and the resort is only 20 minutes from the airport, so if you only have 3 or 4 nights, this resort will give you maximum Jamaica beach time. I also recommend this resort for all inclusive Jamaica destination weddings. The resort will only allow one wedding per day, so you don’t have to share your special day with other couples.  Iberostar Grand Rose Hall wedding packages start at $999.
