The last 3 agents we sent to the Dominican to explore all came back with the same statement. “I loved Dreams La Romana and we should send more clients there. The resort is beautiful.” This Dreams Resort had one big drawback that is now gone. Flights to La Romana can be expensive. But now they have improved the road tremendously from Punta Cana and the transfer time between the resort and the Punta Cana airport is only 40 minutes. We now expect this resort’s popularity to boom, especially with our all inclusive Caribbean wedding clients. This resort is incredibly nice for the price! Honeymoon couples that don’t want to pay Secrets Resorts prices, can get a deal here, but you don’t get the adults only all inclusive atmosphere we recommend. We especially suggest you do adults only in the summer months and around any school holidays, when schools are closed.
La Romana also has 4 other options that make great honeymoon choices. Casa de Campo is huge and you’ll find it on almost every list of most luxurious resorts in the Caribbean. The Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville is the first and only adults only resort in the area. Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus is a great value and you can always trust an Iberostar Resort to have great food and great service. Samana has a very unique resort that is on a private island, the Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado. This resort is about one fourth of the cost of other private island resorts in the Caribbean, but is very hard to get to unless you are flying out of JFK.
Almost all the best all inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic are in Punta Cana. So you have the proper perspective, lets’ just look at the volume of resorts in the Dominican Republic’s different areas.

My favorite resort in all of Punta Cana is the Iberostar Grand Bavaro, but it’s also the most expensive. The rooms, the public areas, the restaurants and the service is all the best you’ll find. Secrets Royal Beach is another great adults only all inclusive option. The Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana is great for our clients looking for a rockin’ good time and the biggest casino in the Caribbean. The new Breathless Punta Cana is also getting great feedback from our clients. Hopefully, one of the resorts mentioned above are in you budget. If not, do not despair.
