Our tremendous sales volume allows us to give you lower prices. To use a very simple analogy. A business that wants to make a profit of $100.00/day can sell 1 item/day for a $100 profit/item and another may chose to sell 10 items/day at $10 profit/item. In this analogy, Honeymoons Inc. would be the business that prefers to sell 10.
You really just have 3 decisions to make. Choose a resort. Choose a room. Choose your flights (if necessary). Ask friends and family. Go to the local bookstore. Surf the web. If you prefer to speak to someone in person, call (888) 811-1888 and one of our agents will walk you easily through the whole process. You can also send a quote request. When you’ve found a package that you want, just reply to the agent and they will give you all the details. TIP: When you receive your first quote request response from an agent, it will make it easier for you, to make future inquiries and requests with that same agent. Once you’ve chosen a package, we’ll need your legal names, and a small deposit. 45 days prior to departure, you pay the remaining balance. About 3 weeks prior to your departure, your tickets and other travel vouchers will arrive via regular mail or in some cases now via email.
Yes, the Caribbean Islands, Costa Rica and Mexico absolutely positively require U.S. citizens to have passports. St. Thomas, St. Croix, Hawaii and Puerto Rico allow U.S. citizens to enter with just proof of citizenship. This proof can be either a passport (our recommendation) or a state issued certified copy of your birth certificate accompanied by a government issued photo identification (i.e. driver’s license).
If you are a recently married bride, you will need to travel under your maiden name if booked with airfare. When you arrive at the airport to get on the plane, your passport must match the name on your ticket or you will be denied boarding. If you book a resort only package and arrange your airline reservations seperately, you can use whatever name you prefer.
Most rooms are very similar. You have a bed, dresser, t.v., bathroom, air conditioning. Most resorts will vary room rates depending on the location and the view. Rooms above the lobby or over restaurants or with wonderful views of the parking lots will be the least expensive. Rooms by the beach or with great oceanviews will be the most expensive. Suites come in all shapes and sizes and usually include extra amenities. If you want to make your stay special, suites are a great touch.
The American dollar is widely accepted. Traveller’s checks are a great way to protect yourself from lost or stolen money. Credit Cards are also widely accepted at the resort and in the major shopping areas, but not in the local markets.
When you reserve your package, a minimum deposit of $300 is required. The final payment is due 45 days prior to your departure date. You can make payments of any amount at any time as long as the final is paid on time. Most packages booked with airfare included will require the airfare to be paid in addition to the $300. If you choose the optional insurance, you will also need to pay the insurance amount in addition to the $300 with your deposit.
Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to departure, incur a $100 per person cancellation fee. Cancellation fees within 60 days vary depending on whether your airline tickets have been issued, supplier fees, and tour operator fees. Make sure you understand all terms and conditions of your package.
Trip Insurance is offered in many varieties. Our most popular insurance allows you to cancel for any reason up to 2 hours prior to departure and also insures you while travelling.
Revisions can be made. A small revision fee of $50.00 covers most changes. Most airline tickets have restrictions that will incur extra charges. The standard airline ticket revision fee is $200 + any increase in the airfare. Hotel revisions made 30 days prior to departure will only be $50.00. And of course, if your new airfare or hotel reservation is higher than the original, you’ll need to pay the difference.
We recommend that you book your package at least 6 months in advance. We can arrange packages with as little as 4 days notice, but you’ll usually pay more and you’ll have to choose from whatever flights and rooms are available. If you are planning on traveling during a holiday, you should book at least 9 months prior.
Round trip transfers between the airport and the resort are included in all of our packages. If you have a package that does not include the air, we’ll need your flight information.
The all-inclusive packages include all meals, drinks, water sports, daily activities, nightly entertainment, tips, taxes, and more. Some resorts have extra inclusions such as golf, horseback riding, scuba diving, and island excursions.
Consider taking money for luggage handlers in the airports, spa treatments, island excursions, and souvenirs.
Expect temperatures during the day in the mid to upper 80’s. Expect evening temperatures in the mid to upper 70’s. The Bahamas is one exception and might be slightly cooler, especially in January and February.
Daytime is casual and nighttime is casual elegance. Men will need slacks and a collared shirt in most of the restaurants. Some resorts may have a restaurant that requires a jacket and some may require closed toe shoes for the men. Ties are never required. Women? We never worry about the women:)
We have two, Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port St Lucie, Florida, but the resort is geared towards family vacations. We have 1 in Key Largo for adults only.
