Cozumel Honeymoon Facts

Cozumel is a directly across the channel from Playa del Carmen, about 12 miles.

The ferry operates frequently during the day between Playa and Cozumel, take between 25 and 40 minutes, expect to pay around $16 round trip.

Cozumel is Mexico’s largest island and is known as “the Land of the Swallows”.

The vast majority of the population of Cozumel lives in the town of San Miguel.

Cozumel is a flat island and the highest spot on the island is only about 50 feet high.

The ruins of San Gervasio are located approximately at the center of the island and are the largest remaining ruins.
