One of the most common questions we get is: “What’s included with my all-inclusive honeymoon resort package?”

Let’s break it down. First, we’ll cover what’s typically included, then highlight how some resorts go above and beyond.

The Basics: What’s Usually Included with an all-inclusive honeymoon resort package

Most all-inclusive honeymoon resort packages cover:

• Flights or airfare to and from your destination
• Transportation to and from your resort
• Your room or suite
• All meals
• Unlimited drinks
• Daytime activities
• Nighttime entertainment

Sometimes, unique extras will be included depending on the resort. On the Honeymoons, Inc. site, each resort has a “What’s Included” tab so you can see the details before you book.

We also discuss at the end of this article tips and taxes.

Flights or Airfare

Most resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Costa Rica require flights. Airfare can be bundled into your package or booked separately if you want to use miles or flight credits. If you arrange your own flights, we’ll just need your details to set up your airport transfers.

Tip: Avoid basic economy tickets—they’re often non-refundable and non-changeable. If you want to elevate the experience, consider flying first class.

Airport Transfers

Except for Ambergris Cay, no resort has its own airport. That’s why airport-to-resort transfers are included or arranged for you. These can range from shared shuttle vans to private luxury SUVs, boats, or even helicopters depending on your destination and budget.

Your Room

This one’s simple—your room is included. What varies is the type of room you choose, from standard hotel rooms to swim-up suites, private pool villas, and overwater bungalows.

Meals

At a minimum, you’ll get breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Most resorts also have beach or pool grills and room service (some 24/7). Larger resorts often offer more dining options—intimate resorts may have just 1–2 restaurants, while bigger properties can have 10–20+.

Drinks

All-inclusive means unlimited drinks, including alcoholic beverages. The variety of bars and brands available will depend on the resort. Larger resorts offer more choices. If you have favorite brands, check if they’re offered.

Pro Tip: At swim-up bars (and most bars), ask for your preferred brands—otherwise, you may get lower-shelf liquors by default.

Daytime Activities

Most resorts include plenty of activities, such as:

• Water sports like kayaks, paddleboards, and hobie cats
• Pool and beach volleyball
• Land sports like tennis, pickleball, basketball, billiards, and ping pong
• And of course, relaxing by the beach or pool is always encouraged. We also recommend getting off the resort at least once or twice to explore the destination.

Nighttime Entertainment

Evenings can include live music, shows, dancing, piano bars, karaoke and themed parties. Entertainment varies by resort, so if nightlife matters to you, ask what’s available.

Tips and Taxes

Tips are included at all Sandals Resorts. Tipping is not allowed except for the butler service and spa services. Tips are at your own discretion at other resorts.

Taxes are included with all of our honeymoon resort packages, with the exception of some local taxes. Some destinations like Cancun currently charge an “Environmental Sanitation Tax” of $1.60/room/night. We cannot prepay those for you. You’ll pay those at check-out.
