I often have had clients that want to honeymoon in Jamaica ask me where to stay. My job is to find the very best resort for YOU. Everyone has a different picture of their ideal honeymoon package. First, you have to pick the area that is best for you, then we look at the resorts. You’re lucky enough to have a great variety of high quality all inclusive resorts in each of the three areas: M, N and O.

Montego Bay is the hub of Jamaica tourism. The airport is in Montego Bay, so you can choose resorts that are as close as 5 minutes away. If you can only get away for a few nights, we highly recommend Montego Bay. You can land in Montego Bay at 11:30 and be on the beach at Sandals Montego Bay by Noon. Montego Bay is centrally located also. So, if you want to take a day to visit Negril and a day to visit Ocho Rios, Montego Bay is your place. This area also has the hip strip for the party animals and a huge straw market for shoppers.

Negril is for the beach lovers. Negril was named for the black cliffs that have famous sunset bars like Rick’s café, where cliff diving is a daily show. On one side of the cliffs, you have the famous 7 mile beach. This is where you find the sugar white sand that goes for miles and turquoise waters. 7 mile beach is home of the casual and chic Couples Swept Away and the barefoot elegance of Sandals Negril. These two resorts are 2 of our most popular resorts in the entire Caribbean. On the other side of the cliff is Bloody Bay beach, which is 2 miles long and sits in a calm bay. If you love to swim in the ocean and play in the ocean, the water here is almost as calm as a lake. This beach is home to Couples Negril and two very affordable Riu Resorts. The water is the calmest on the west coast and you also get incredible sunsets.

Ocho Rios or as we say “Ochi”, pronounced oh cheee, is on the northeast coast about 1.5 hours from Montego Bay. I love M and N, but the O is my favorite. Ocho Rios is everything you think of when you imagine the Caribbean. You’ll find green rolling hills, rivers, waterfalls and beautiful beaches. This is the biggest area for sight-seeing excursions. You’re minutes away from climbing Dunn’s River Falls, swimming with the dolphins, ziplining through the forest, rafting down the white river and even bobsledding. If you decide on Montego Bay to be close to the airport, you’ll probably end up on a tour in Ocho Rios sometime during your trip. If you want to get out and see Jamaica on your trip, stay in Ocho Rios, so you can be close to everything. Sandals Royal Plantation is the ultimate luxury resort and is very intimate. The Riu Ocho Rios is large and extremely affordable. In between these two resorts, you have a great variety of resorts to choose from.
